Ordering & payment

Placing, changing and paying for an order.

Browse the shop, choose your compound and vial size, add it to your cart and check out. You will receive a confirmation email with your order number straight away. Keep it handy, because it is the fastest way for us to find your order if you need help.

You can check out as a guest or create an account to see your order history and tracking in one place.

All payment options available for your country are shown at checkout. Payments are processed over an encrypted (SSL) connection by our payment provider, so your full card details are never stored on our servers.

Yes, as long as it has not shipped yet. Contact us as soon as possible with your order number and tell us what you would like to change. Once an order has been dispatched it can no longer be edited. In that case, see our returns answer below.

For multi-vial, multi-compound or recurring research orders, send us the compounds, vial sizes and quantities you need and we will come back to you with a quote.

Shipping & delivery

Dispatch times, packaging and tracking.

Orders placed on business days are typically processed and dispatched within 1–2 business days. Delivery time after that depends on your destination and the shipping method you choose at checkout. Estimates are shown before you pay.

We ship to many countries. Available destinations and rates appear at checkout once you enter your address. Import rules for research compounds differ from country to country, so please check your local regulations before ordering. Customs duties or taxes, where charged, are the buyer's responsibility.

Peptides ship lyophilised (freeze-dried) in crimp-sealed glass vials, labelled with the compound, amount and lot number, and packed to protect them in transit. In dry form, peptides tolerate normal shipping times at room temperature, so dry ice is not needed for standard orders. Move them into a freezer as soon as they arrive.

Yes. As soon as your parcel is dispatched you will receive an email with your tracking number and a link to follow the delivery. If you have an account, tracking also appears in your order history.

Contact us within 7 days of the expected delivery date with your order number and, for damaged parcels, photos of the packaging and vials. We will investigate with the carrier and arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate. See our refund policy for details.

Quality & testing

Purity, COAs and what is in the vial.

Every batch comes with a certificate of analysis (COA) reporting HPLC purity and mass-spectrometry identity, so you can see both what the compound is and how pure it is. The lot number on the COA matches the lot printed on your vial. Ask us for the COA for your lot at any time.

We supply research peptides at 98% purity or higher by HPLC. The exact figure for each batch is printed on its COA, because purity is measured per batch, not per product.

A COA is the lab report for one production batch. The parts that matter most are the lot number (it must match your vial), HPLC purity, mass-spec identity (observed mass vs expected mass), net peptide content and the name of the testing lab. Our guide How to read a COA walks through every line.

That is normal. A few milligrams of freeze-dried peptide forms a very small white cake, or sometimes just a thin film on the glass that is hard to see. Tap the vial gently on a hard surface before opening so any powder on the stopper falls to the bottom.

HPLC measures purity: how much of the sample is the target peptide versus impurities. Mass spectrometry confirms identity: that the molecule has the correct molecular weight. HPLC cannot prove what the peptide is and mass spec cannot measure purity, so a trustworthy COA reports both.

Storage & handling

Keeping peptides stable before and after mixing.

Keep sealed, lyophilised vials in a freezer at −20 °C (or colder for long-term storage), tightly capped, dry and away from light. A fridge at 2–8 °C is fine for short periods. Before opening a cold vial, let it reach room temperature so moisture does not condense on the powder.

No. In dry, lyophilised form, peptides are stable for the length of normal transit at ambient temperature. Cold storage matters for long-term storage and after reconstitution, so put your vials in the freezer when the parcel arrives.

As a general guide, most peptide solutions remain stable for up to about a week at 2–8 °C, and some sequences degrade faster. For longer use, split the solution into single-use aliquots and freeze them, thawing each aliquot only once. Full method in our reconstitution and storage guide.

It depends on the experiment. Bacteriostatic water contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative, which suits stocks you draw from several times but can interfere with cell work. Phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) is isotonic and buffered at about pH 7.4, which makes it ideal for biological assays, but it has no preservative, so use it fresh.

Research use & legal

What our products are and are not for.

No. All Lian Peptides products are sold strictly for laboratory and in-vitro research. They are not medicines, have not been approved by the FDA or any other regulator for human use, and must not be used in humans or animals.

No. We do not provide dosing, administration or medical advice of any kind. We are happy to help with product specifications, COAs, storage, reconstitution chemistry and order questions. For an overview of the published research on specific compounds, see our research guides.

Orders are accepted from adults (18+) purchasing for legitimate laboratory research. By placing an order you confirm that you understand our products are for research use only and that you will handle them accordingly.

Returns & support

Refunds, problems and reaching our team.

Because peptides are sensitive research materials, opened or reconstituted products cannot be returned. If your order arrives damaged, incorrect or incomplete, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will put it right with a replacement or refund. Full terms are on our refund policy page.

Use our contact page and include your order number if your question is about an order. We reply on business days, usually within one business day.
